Dangerous Dogs

What is a dangerous dog?
A dangerous dog is one that has attacked a person or animal. It could also be a dog that has been specially trained to attack as part of its work.

What do they look like?
A dangerous dog can be any shape or size or type. It is not a special type of dog that someone can show you a picture of a tell you to stay away from it. These dogs have to wear a special collar. This collar has red and yellow stripes on it.

If you see a dog with this collar being walked DO NOT go near it and DO NOT ask to pat it.

How do I know where they live?
The owners have to put up a special sign on their house to show that a dangerous dog lives there.

NEVER enter someone's backyard without asking first. If the Dangerous Dog sign is on the gate DO NOT ENTER FOR ANY REASON.
